London is at war - but its spirit has persevered. The pandemic imagery has been that of blitz London, and Churchill’s aphorisms ring just as loudly as they did in 1940, his words “never have so many owed so much to so few” perfectly capturing the NHS’s heroics. It is this wartime spirit of determination, a defiance against the odds, that I wanted to capture. A bulldog was a natural choice for a protagonist, symbolic both of the iconic leader Churchill and the dogged determination we have all shown.
